Real estate broker Niso Ulmasova joins us on this episode of The Real Estate Moguls Podcast to share how she's become a successful real estate professional. 

Born and raised in Tajikistan, Niso and her family moved to the United States when she was just 10 years old. After spending time in upstate New York and Denver, Niso decided that she wanted to start her journey in a big city. She chose Chicago as the perfect place to start, and has now been living there for several years.

Niso's path to a career in real estate was a unique one. For a long time, she didn't know exactly what she wanted to do. Her foreign parents had high expectations for her, and she felt pressure to choose a stable career path.

But Niso knew that she wanted to be more on the creative side of things, and she experimented with different career options. She tried dancing and photography, but neither of those were the right fit.

It wasn't until Niso attended the University of Colorado Boulder that she found her calling. She transferred into the business school and was immediately drawn to the department of real estate, which was just starting to grow. She decided to emphasize her degree in entrepreneurship and real estate, and spent her time in college networking and learning as much as she could about the different aspects of the real estate industry.

Through her networking efforts, Niso discovered that she was most interested in the human aspect of real estate, specifically residential properties. She was particularly drawn to the idea of urban farming and bringing vertical farming into urban cities in ways that had never been done before. Niso developed a business plan for this idea and pitched it in front of investors, which further solidified her desire to move to Chicago.

Chicago was the perfect place for Niso to pursue her passion for urban farming and real estate. The city is known for its architecture and love of greenery, and Niso saw an opportunity to integrate her ideas for urban farming into the city's existing eco-minded and forward-thinking approach to city planning. 

With her combination of passion and expertise, Niso has become a successful real estate broker and is continuing to make a name for herself in the industry.
