Though Candace Pivit has been providing services in skincare, eyelashes and microblading since 2010, she’s recently started mentoring others to create a business in beauty for themselves.
Her career came after Candace went through several traumatic experiences around the age of twenty-seven. She shares how those moments put her down a path towards discovering her new found sense of self.
"That light bulb moment happened when I had to literally reinvent myself and get back to what it is that I love doing. To stop living the rat race of working nonstop. Not fulfilling myself at the same time.
I was at a point where I was being drained mentally and physically, but I had a passion for something where I wanted to see it get off the ground. It was a struggle for me. I lost my self worth. I'd lost my innocence. I’d lost my spirit and that fire for life.
The reality is you wake up one day saying ‘I'm the one who can change this. I'm the only one who can change this for myself. If I don't want to live this way, I need to stop acting like I want to live this way. I need to start doing things for myself and for my son.’ That’s what I’m doing now.”
