Artificial intelligence has paved the way for an innovative competition known as "Miss AI," the world's inaugural beauty pageant for AI-crafted models and influencers. These digital personas, celebrated for their pixelated allure, will be judged not only on their aesthetic and poise but also on the technical prowess behind their creation. Their effectiveness in engaging online audiences will also be a key criterion.

"Miss AI is part of the World AI Creator Awards, which assesses AI creators on metrics like audience growth, engagement, and cross-platform presence, including Instagram," the organization announced. This event is the first of many, with future contests set to celebrate diversity and include categories for computer-generated male models. Fanvue, a platform supporting virtual models, some offering adult content, collaborates as a partner in these awards.

"Through the WAICAs, we aim to establish what could be seen as the Oscars for the AI creator economy," stated Will Monanage, co-founder of Fanvue.

The creator behind the winning AI model, dubbed Miss AI, will receive a $5,000 cash prize, prominent exposure on Fanvue, and PR support valued at over $5,000. Second and third places will also receive prizes. Winners will be unveiled on May 10, followed by an online ceremony later that month.

The competition has already opened for entries, reflecting the rising prominence and commercial appeal of AI influencers. For instance, an AI personality named Alba Renai recently secured a role hosting a segment on the Spanish edition of Survivor.

Judges for the pageant include AI influencers Aitana Lopez and Emily Pellegrini, who boast significant Instagram followings and lucrative brand endorsements. They are joined by human judges Andrew Bloch, an entrepreneur and PR adviser, and Sally-Ann Fawcett, a beauty pageant historian.

The advent of "Miss AI," signifies a transformative shift in the modeling and fashion industries. As virtual influencers rise in prominence, aspiring models must adapt by not only honing their craft but also by mastering the art of personal branding and understanding the business nuances of their profession.
